CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

Dear members,

QATAR4WHEELERS.COM follow the guidelines and rules laid down by the Qatar authority. As a participating member, in any event we request you to please read and familiarize yourselves with the following rules:

As QATAR 4WHEELERS caters to all communities within the Qatar, our mode of communication at all times will be the English language

We are part of the Qatar culture, which is vibrant and is tolerant to all religions and cultures. QATAR 4WHEELERS consists of off-road enthusiasts based in Qatar and we appeal to the members to observe tolerance of other religions and to be conscious their posts / discussions are not racist or otherwise offensive

Members must take care to post decent content and avoid adult / pornographic material. Please remember that this forum is open to your families

All civilities and humble approach to discontent are to be observed. Members should involve the Marshal in case of disagreement during a drive and the administration to resolve all disputes. Your constructive criticism is most welcome but should be in the form of a PM to the admin

Members should refrain from creating multiple accounts and these will be automatically deleted without seeking the consent of the defaulting member

All members are requested to sincerely avoid profanity and foul language. The administration reserves the right to discontinue any member from QATAR 4WHEELERS. if found violating this simple code of conduct

All Members are encouraged to actively enforce these rules and report to admin any violations.

The law of the Qatar is very strict. The member indemnifies the admin, marshal and other members of QATAR 4WHEELERS from actions taken against him due to posts which desecrate religion, or subscribes to or professes websites or organizations deemed illegal by the governing authority. Such posts can or may be reported to the concerned authorities leading to strict action

Anyone who breaks any of the above rules can expect to see the post in question deleted and a warning to be issued. Any subsequent violation may lead to discontinuation of membership and the matter e solely depend on the consideration of the administration

The rules are created as a guideline and also as a general indication of QATAR 4WHEELERS members to be observant of the local law and rules and it is our aim to enjoy offroad driving while ensuring we are within the legal boundaries of the Qatar

Convoy Rules

Rules & Regulations: 

By registering on this forum, you have read, understood and agreed to the Qatar4wheelers.com Indemnity

During every trip, every member must obey & agree the rules as laid down by the Marshal / Convoy Lead

  1. The member wishes to voluntarily participate in the trips, or any event, which has been organized by Qatar4wheelers.com

  2. The member understand that off-roading is hazardous and an extreme sport and that he has voluntarily exposing himself to the risk of personal injury or death by participating in the event

  3. The member understands that the purpose of the drive is to improve his or her driving skills off-road & he will comply by the rules & safety standards as requested by the marshal or convoy lead

  4. During every drive the member needs to always look for the safety of others as well since there are other members who will be participating during the drives & events organized

  5. The member accepts that Qatar4wheelers.com will not carry insurance in respect of any liability, which might arise out of an event, and that his own vehicle, third party and public liability insurance (if any), is unlikely to cover him for his losses or liabilities but that such insurance is available from specialist brokers

  6. The member accepts he does not suffer from any medical condition or disability that may make it unsafe for him to participate in the event or drive, or safely operate a vehicle. In addition, he is not under the influence of drugs/ alcohol that will impair his ability to take part in the drive or event

  7. The member accepts that he is competent and able to take part and that his eyesight (with lenses if worn) is adequate for off-road events use

  8. During drives & events, the member will be responsible for his vehicle and/or which he will use during the event is safe and in good condition and of suitable mechanical condition. In addition, the vehicle must be fitted with recovery points

  9. The member accepts that he holds the correct license issued by competent authority for the size and type of vehicle being used on the event

  10. The member understands & accepts (including my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, legal representatives and successors) agree to make no claim, sue, or hold liable Qatar4wheelers.com, its founders, marshals, members, or any one involved in the event including supporting individuals, companies and agents in respect of any loss or injury suffered by the member during the event and to indemnify them against their costs and losses arising out of any claim made against them or any of them by anyone to the extent that such costs and losses are attributable directly or indirectly to my participation in the event or drive

  11. The member, the undersigned acknowledge that the information provided in this form is true

  12. The member also agrees that he has registered his name with an off-roading recovery service

  13. All member participants during the drive will follow the route of the convoy leader UNLESS he as an individual does not feel it is within his capacity to do so, in this case he will stop and seek assistance

  14. During drives no one should leave the desert alone before the end of the drive, and if required then, only when accompanied by a Marshal/Explorer

  15. It is the responsibility of the driver to determine whether it is safe to take passengers, especially children on a trip-by-trip basis. Young children MUST be seated in an approved car seat in the rear of the vehicle, OR securely fastened with seat belts in their own designated rear seat, and not sitting on drivers/ passengers laps

  16. Strict convoy positions and spacing is to be followed at all times

  17. Free play and Showing off is not allowed at any time during the trip, unless in a designated "Play Area" identified by the leader. During this time, the Leading Marshal will organize the queue for dune climbing or side sloping. No one is allowed to play alone outside of the "Play Area " - If you have children with you, you MUST supervise them at all times and keep them away from any "Play Area" Children WILL NOT be allowed in parents cars who are taking part in the "Play Time" and will be supervised by the organizing Marshal or an appropriate adult

  18. Recovery of a stuck vehicle is the sole responsibility of the Sweeper OR other person designated by the Leader. No one else will interfere with the recovery unless specifically asked to do so by the Sweeper or Leading Marshal. This may not apply during Newbie instruction trips, when you will be given a chance to learn & practice recovery techniques

  19. The ONLY people allowed to drive at the side of a convoy are Marshals who will be assessing people on their driving skills and to offer advice and assistance to the leading Marshal or designated trip leader

  20. The member has read, understood and will comply with all regulations, any supplemental regulations and final instructions given and this form is valid and shall remain in full legal force unless notified and signed by both parties involved

Failure to follow the above rules will result in the offending member being verbally warned by the Leading Marshal. Any re-occurrence will result in the offending member to be automatically banned from further trips for a designated period decided by the Committee

These rules are for your safety & the safety of everyone else on the trip and your co-operation is appreciated.
